What's New for 2022?
The new 2022 Edge offers package options and traction updates. There is now the option of a new Black Appearance Package that adds a sleek, blacked-out appearance to the new Edge. This package includes features like a black grille and 19-inch high-gloss black-painted aluminum wheels. You can also enjoy a sporty appearance with the available SEL Sport Appearance Package, which offers features like Navy Pier ActiveX™ seats to 18-inch Carbonized, Gray-Painted aluminum wheels.
You can now enjoy even more confidence no matter which new Edge model you choose since an intelligent all-wheel drive system now comes standard. The all-wheel drive system uses an on-broad computer to monitor the performance of the Edge and detect a loss of traction. By sending torque to the wheels that need it most, you can discover more traction and stability when driving in low-traction conditions.
Performance
You could be merging on the highway or towing a camper to your favorite camping site, and the new 2022 Edge provides the features and capabilities you need to drive with more confidence. A standard twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine provides 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque for a responsive yet efficient driving experience. This engine offers an EPA-estimated 29 MPG on the highway to help you save gas and reduce emissions.
If you're interested in even more power, there is the option of the 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 twin-turbocharged engine. You can take advantage of 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque for more speed and nimble acceleration. An eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard for both engine options to optimize gear ratios, while available steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters let you discover more control for a driving experience similar to a manual transmission.
You can expect exciting performance features available, including Torque Vectoring Control, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™, and up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity.
